Dr. L Joel Kessler is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist and Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr Kessler's Santa Monica practice specializes in, but is not limited to, high risk pregnancies as well as peri and post menopause. For over 30 years, Dr. Kessler has built a practice that combines outstanding patient care and individualized treatment.

Education

• Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Dr. Kessler completed his medical training at The University of the Witwatersrand and his residency at the University of Colorado. Dr. Kessler is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecologists and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. For over 30 years Dr. Kessler has been in private practice in Santa Monica. Dr. Kessler is specially trained to treat and manage high-risk pregnancies. Furthermore, Dr. Kessler specializes in minimally invasive surgeries and menopause management. At St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, Dr. Kessler currently serves as chairman of the Surgical Services Review Committee. He has previously served as chairman of the Ob-Gyn Committee, chairman of the Perinatal Committee, and as a member of the Board of Directors at St. John’s Health Center.
